RELATION OF STRUCTURE STABILITY AND DEBYE TEMPERATURE TO CRYSTAL SIZE OF NANOMETER SIZED TiO_2 POWDERS

Abstract:
Anatase structure TiO_2 powders of various crystal size were prepared bySol-Gel method.Single phase anatase structure was obtained for the material with the particlesize less than 70nm.Lattice parameter and Debye Temperature were measured by X-raydiffraction method.The results show that both the lattice parameter and Debye temperaturesquare are inversely proportional to the crystal size of the powders.This may be explained bythe surface tension effect of the nanocrystal.
