Weighted Adaptive Control of Linear Systems with Backlash Nonlinearity

Abstract:
This paper is concerned with the adaptive control of linear systems with a backlash nonlinearity. A weighted adaptive control algorithm is presented for the control of such systems whose linear part is unstable and of nonminimum phase. The global stability and convergence of the algorithm is established. Simulation results show that the algorithm can obviously improve the control performance of the system.
