AN OPTIMAL CONTROL FOR CLOSELY SPACED MODE STRUCTURES WITH POOR CONTROLLABILITY

Abstract:
One difficulty of controlling the structures with closely spaced modes is the poor controllability. In this paper, a new approach based on optimization of amplitudes of the subsystem with poor controllability is proposed. And the genetic algorithm is adopted for the optimization procedure. In order to use the optimization method on line, a model reference adaptive framework is also proposed, and the stability of controlled system can be guaranteed. Simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
