Comparative Analysis of Essential Oil Components from Golden Pomelo Peel by Steam Distillation and Solvent Extraction

Abstract:
The essential oil of golden pomelo(Citrus grandis Osbeck cv.) peel was extracted by both steam distillation-extraction and organic solvent extraction.The concentrated extracts were analyzed by capillary gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.In addition,the essentia-loil components extracted from the two methods were compared.Fifteen components were identified in steam distillation-extraction,representing 99.01% of the total peak area,and se-venteen components in solvent extraction,representing 97.55% of the ...
