A STUDY ON DYNAMIC PROGRAMMING TO DETERMINATE NONCIRCULAR CRITICAL SLIP SURFACE OF SLOPES

Abstract:
The determination of critical slip surface has been a key problem. The criticalslip surface is noncircular in general,whose determination has not been solved in theworld.This paper has successfully solved this problem and gives out the minimum safetyfactor based on Janbu's method with dynamic programming method.This method has taken the influences of underwater and earthquakes into consideration concerning slopes in thestability analysis of complex geological slopes,and it has obvious advantages comparedwith the similar methods in the world.The theory of determination for critical slip surfaceis improved with this paper.
