Infrastructure of a Library Mobile Information Service Based on WAP and the Prototype of WAP OPAC System
基于WAP的图书馆移动信息服务体系及WAP OPAC应用实例

After discussing several wireless technologies and their applications,this paper explores the advantages of WAP technology in mobile information service,and then presents a technical infrastructure of the library mobile information service based on WAP which characterized in eliminating data redundancy.Thereafter,the paper also realizes a WAP-based OPAC system based on ALEPH500 system in Beijing Normal University Library.The prototype provides a feasible method for libraries to develop mobile information service.
