Tandem Separation ofWater-extracted Fraction of Rheum palmatum L. Using Macroporous Adsorption Resins
|
Abstract:
The water-extracted fraction of Rheum palmatum L. was separated from nine types of macroporous adsorption resins, under the same elution condition. The eluted fractions were systematically characterized by HPLC. The retention behaviors of different macroporous adsorption resins were compared. Based on the parataxis of separation behaviors of different resins, XAD7HP and XAD16 were used to tandem separate water-extracted components from Rheum palmatum L.. The study produces a new pre-separation method that may shed some light on the purification of water-extracted components of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
