Study of Euphorbia Kansui on Mouse Liver Function Correlated with Inflammatory Cytokines
|
Abstract:
This study was aimed to explore the action of ethanol extracts of Euphorbia kansui(E.KS) on mouse liver with inflammatory cytokines.By gastric administration with three dosages of E.KS(1.2,0.6,0.3 g/kg) for 2 h,4 h and 7 d,the serum was isolated for ALT.Real time PCR was employed for IL-β,TNFα and caspase 3.Histological assay was employed for the liver. The results showed that E.KS can increase serum ALT and upregulate mRNA express of IL1-β,after 2 hours of E.KS(1.2 g/kg) administration. But there was a negative action on caspase 3 expression. It was concluded that Euphorbia kansui has definite toxicity effect on mouse liver. This effect is mainly related to the inflammatory injury. The effect is not obvious related to apoptosis.
