Study on in Vitro Release and Transdermal Absorption of Sinomenine in Fengshi-Gutong Gel Plaster
|
Abstract:
This study was aimed to evaluate the in vitro release and transdermal absorption of the sinomenine in Fengshi-Gutong gel plaster. Sinomenine was analyzed by HPLC. The in vitro release behavior of the preparation was investigated through the application of TP-5 intelligence penetration tester. And hairless abdominal skin was used in the transdermal absorption study. The results showed that the cumulative releasing percent of sinomenine in Fengshi-Gutong gel plaster was 97.76% within 12 h. And the release curve fitted the Weibull equation, ln (1/(1-Q)) = 1.4012lnt + 0.2326 (r = 0.9875). The cumulative transdermal absorption percent within 12 h was 44.86%. And the transdermal absorption process fitted the Weibull equation, ln (1/(1-Q)) = 0.2118lnt + 0.0737(r = 0.9874). It was concluded that results of in vitro release and transdermal absorption of sinomenine in Fengshi-Gutong gel plaster were favorable. Therefore, this preparation is worth further development.
