Nuclear Receptor Superfamily and Yeast Two-Hybrid System
|
Abstract:
More and more attention has been paid to the challenging issue on endocrine disruption induced by environmental pollutants in recent years. There has been a great increase in the amount of researches, which demonstrated that nuclear receptor was important action site of endocrine disruptions. Based on these research results, the members, the structural characteristics, and action models of nuclear receptor superfamily were reviewed. In this review, the newly progress in endocrine disruptions and nuclear receptor superfamily were discussed. The mechanism of yeast two-hybrid system and its usages in the nuclear receptor superfamily and endocrine disruptions were analyzed. It is suggested that the yeast two-hybrid system should be used in the nuclear receptor superfamily study and the recombinant receptor gene yeast can be built and used for study endocrine disrupting effects and mechanism of actions.
