Chemical Cross-linking and Mass Spectrometry for Investigation of Protein Complex Structures and Protein-protein Interactions
|
Abstract:
Chemical cross-linking combined with mass spectrometry has been being widely used in the research of protein complex structures and protein-protein interactions, and many studies indicated that it is a novel tool to probe the structural modeling of protein complexes and protein-protein interactions. Different cross-linking agents with different chemical activities, Bottom-up and Top-down strategies, and the applications are reviewed. It is believed that the development of cross-linking and mass spectrometric technologies will greatly promote the research of biomacromolecular complex structures and protein-protein interactions.
