this paper compiles some of the main extant reflections on the teaching of french as a foreign language in colombia and its developments vis-à-vis linguistic policies. our purpose is to start a research revolution in the teaching of french as a foreign language that includes new teaching contexts, such as social practices in and among french and french speaking sectors.
