Estudio del efecto de un pretratamiento de nitración sobre la actividad en hidrodesulfuración de un catalizador comercial de Ni-Mo/Al2o3

in this work, it was studied the effect of a nitridation pretreatment with ammonia at temperatures between 500 and 900°c, on the activity of a commercial ni-mo/al2o3 catalyst. the nitrided catalyst was characterized by xps and bet surfacearea. the presence of mo+2 and mo0 in the catalyst nitrided at 700°c, as detected by xps, could be related to the possible active species. thiophene conversion was doubled when the commercial catalyst was nitrided followed by sulfidingreduction ？in situ？ pretreatment.
