the objective of this project was to make a preliminary design of an environmental noise monitoring network for those municipalities within aburrá valley metropolitan area, based on acoustic maps provided by aburrá valley metropolitan area, territorial ordering plans, and prior studies executed in each municipality of aburrá valley. for such purpose, this study proposes and develops a methodology for appropriately evaluating critical zones which have high levels of noise of negative impact on residential zones from urban areas in each one of such municipalities subjected to study.
