Heavy-Head Sampling Strategy of Graph Convolutional Neural Networks for q-Consistent Summary-Explanations with Application to Credit Evaluation Systems

Xinrui Dou
Machine learning systems have found extensive applications as auxiliary tools in domains that necessitate critical decision-making, such as healthcare and criminal justice. The interpretability of these systems’ decisions is of paramount importance to instill trust among users. Recently, there have been developments in globally-consistent rule-based summary-explanation and its max-support (MSGC) problem, enabling the provision of explanations for specific decisions along with pertinent dataset s...

Study of the Double Fluorescence of a New Anthracene (13)aneN4

Rim Zaari Jabri, Alla Lemeune, Abdellah Zrineh, Franck Denat
In this work, a new ligand (13)aneN4 with anthracene was synthesized and characterized by mass spectrometry, NMR, UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopies. The ligand has a double fluorescence explained by the presence of a photoinduced charge transfer. The fluorescence spectra in various solvents show an increase in the intensity of the band charge transfer with solvent polarity and a decrease in the intensity of the band of the locally excited state of anthracene. The fluorescence studies was al...

Association between Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR) and Clinical Outcomes among Filipino Patients with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Secondary to Diabetic Nephropathy on Maintenance Hemodialysis

Lovenia Anne Olores, Grecia Darunday, Eratosthenes Polito, Ruben Maguad
The incidence of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) is increasing in the Philippines. The presence of diabetes mellitus further worsens ESRD prognosis. The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) is a reliable prognostic marker for mortality, but its usefulness as a prognostic biomarker in diabetes patients with chronic kidney disease is yet to be clarified. This study aimed to determine the association between NLR and morbidity among Filipino patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) secondary to d...

Fundamental Connections in Differential Geometry: Quantum Field Theory, Electromagnetism, Chemistry and Fluid Mechanics

Jorge Zabadal, Ederson Staudt, Adnei Marinho, Vinícius Ribeiro
This work presents novel hydrodynamic formulations that reconcile the continuum hypothesis with the emergence of electromagnetic interactions among molecules from fundamental principles. Two models are proposed: a relativistic version of the Navier-Stokes equations derived from commutation relations, and a Helmholtz-like system obtained by applying the Hodge operator to the extended Navier-Stokes equations. Preliminary analysis suggests that the second model, with its nonlinear terms serving as ...

Hymenoptera Type Material from the National Museum of Costa Rica II: Paratypes

Marcela Sánchez-Ocampo, Andrés Herrera
Through the physical review of the Hymenoptera collection of the National Museum of Costa Rica and 53 articles associated with the description of species, we found a total of 4218 paratype specimens, representing 17 families, 41 subfamilies, 47 tribes and 143 genera. Some of them belonging to the genus Heterospilus were damaged during a return of material by mail, and others have genetic sequencing available for research. The possibility that many other paratypes are found in other collections i...
