Globally, the advent of new cases of cancer has been steadily increasing, with rising mortality and a significant impact on the economy. Most malignancy outcomes are linked to early detection, prompt diagnosis, and treatment. The need for early detection is crucial to cancer management. With these increasing numbers, there is a need for the adoption of emerging technologies such as machine learning to help improve the outcome of cancer management. For these reasons, in this paper, we reviewed th...

Alzheimer’s disease is a long-term neurodegenerative disease that degenerates brain cells and causes severe cognitive impairment in humans. Acetylcholinesterase inhibition is a common approach to improve the well-being of AD patients by increasing the duration of acetylcholine in cholinergic synapses. Despite the development of drugs with this utility, none of them is still clinically significant. In this sense, it is sought through studies the development of new drugs, as well as to improve the...

The article discusses the characteristics of the fractality of heart rate variability represented by a time series. An algorithm for calculating the Hurst exponent is presented, which allows one to evaluate the degree of chaotization of the signal in question. The capabilities of various multifractal analysis programs are shown, which require the use of different mathematical models.

The object of this paper is to present the development of the uncertainties of the parameter values produced by an algorithm for a mathematical model based on the spectroscopic signature of iconic conformations. Emphasis is given to including the systematic experimental error simultaneously with primary measured data and the use of fully determined solution of equations to unknowns. To demonstrate the details of finding the parame ...

Background: Clubfoot is one of the most common
malformations of children, in which the infant’s foot is turned into inner side. The objective of current study is to
determine the infants with Clubfoot and associated anomalies in the second and third trimester of gestation by transabdominal sonography. Methods:
We analyzed retrospectively the ultrasound examinati ...

Test problem simulations are presented of the matrix equation, D = BF,
equivalent to least squares data fitting, where the matrices are rectangular
with D and F being experimental data. The chosen application is finding fractions
of secondary structures of proteins from circular dichroism (CD) spectra
employing singular value decomposition, SVD, to obtain the matrix B and its
pseudo- reciprocal. In practice the
first step of the analysis is to select the reduced noise representation ...

Simple mathematical model of gene expression has been studied thoroughly
in this paper. We assume that protein synthesis and protein decay are
deterministic in nature whereas transition from active to inactive state is
totally stochastic. The probability distribution function of transcript number
is calculated and evidence of binary and graded response has been observed for
different reaction rates. Slow and fast kinetics have been studied explicitly.
Different rate constants play a significant ...
