Manufacture and Adjustment of Radiation Dosimeter

Xiaochuan Sun, Hengxu Ma, Jinge Zhou
The dose values of β, γ and х rays are important factors for evaluating the radioactivity in the environment, and monitoring the dose values of these rays in the environment is the primary measure to achieve radiation protection. Therefore, in view of the shortcomings of high power consumption and inconvenient carrying of some dosimeters at home and abroad, a new type of nuclear radiation dosimeter adapted to the new model was made, and the main parameters were measured. The dosimeter designed i...

Research on the Seismic Response of Residential Buildings Located in Areas of High Seismic Risk in Cuba

Dalia Pupo, Víctor M. Valdés, Roberto Martínez, Rolando M. Fernández, Carlos A. Recarey
Probabilistic assessment expressed through analytical fragility curves of the multifamily housing buildings, located in the southeastern region of Cuba, is presented. Motivated by the latest update of the Cuban code for seismic re-sistance analysis of structures, NC 46:2017, which has been the object of im-portant changes with regard to the seismic design approaches, the evaluation of the adeq

Cumulative Perturbations Affecting a Spacecraft on a Mars Equatorial Orbit from the Waxing and Waning of the Polar Caps of the Planet

Jean-Pierre Barriot
We demonstrate in this paper that periodic variations of the J2 gravity coefficient of a planet induce small cumulative perturbations on a given family of circular equatorial orbits, and that these perturbations could be measurable with current radiosciences technology. For this purpose, we first consider a Poincaré expansion of the Newtonian equations of motion. Then, by using Floquet’s theory, we demonstrate that, unlike the excitation mechanism, the perturbations are non- pe...
