With the continuous development of big data technology and the increasing maturity of online teaching platforms, the blended online and offline teaching model has been accepted by more and more teachers and students due to its clear teaching effects and good learning experience. However, the current blended teaching is mostly applied to the imparting of theoretical knowledge and is rarely seen in “curriculum ideological education” practice. In view of this, this study proposes a blended online and offline “curriculum ideological education” model for foreign language majors based on the systematic analysis of the current research status of ideological education at home and abroad and the necessity of implementing a blended “curriculum ideological education” model. It also proposes strategic suggestions for the construction of the “curriculum ideological education” for foreign language majors from aspects such as offline teaching, online platforms, and extracurricular activities.
