Discussing Islamic Fundamentalism and Its Role in Politicizing Religion  [PDF]
Hani Ahmed Shboul
Open Journal of Political Science (OJPS) , 2020, DOI: 10.4236/ojps.2020.104037
Abstract: One of the meanings of Fundamentalism means literal adherence to religious texts, closure in the past, and contempt for the present and the future together. This is because fundamentalists always look back, not forward. They are fixed to a specific moment in the past, a moment that transcends all moments! Islamic fundamentalism, as explained in the Literatures of fundamentalist groups themselves, is an idea based on adhering to the fundamentals of religion and returning to the beginnings, as was the case during the era of the Prophet and his companions. The central theme of this article is to gain a deeper understanding, and wider discussion of Islamic Fundamentalism; a phenomenon whose destructive effects have reached the four corners of the world. The danger that Islamic fundamentalism poses is that it is the main supplier of ideas to jihadist militias who have carried out most of the terrorist acts in the world. The article, also, tried hard to explore the type of relationship between religion and politics in Islamic fundamentalist thought.
Problemas contemporáneos de la Axiología
Prieto Ramírez,Doris María;
Humanidades M??dicas , 2002,
Abstract: the nature of value raises the debate among scientists of different disciplines. this is a complex problem that demands a philosophical specification. axiology is the science that studies values, which possesses a philosophical connotation. in the article, the antecedents of axiology are exposed and diverse interpretations to the concept value are presented, analyzing them from the perspective of marxist philosophy. the dialectical-materialistic point of view with regard to values is pointed out, outlining that they represent a social phenomenon that possesses significance in the context of the subject-object relationship and that they express necessities and human interests. it is a phenomenon that synthesizes the ideal and the material and arises in the process of reciprocal conversion among them
La ideología en el debate filosófico de lo moderno y lo postmoderno
Martínez álvarez,Fidel;
Humanidades M??dicas , 2006,
Abstract: the philosophical debate on the central topics of the relationship modernity - post modernity has not lost validity and rather it has moved toward its epistemologically connotations, that is to say, toward the polemics referred to the relationship philosophy - science, inside which occupies a special place the topic of the ideology. in this first decade of the third millennium the imperialism recrudesces their political has been founded in the neoliberal globalization. before the wild career for the domain of the world and the growing social and environmental calamities generated by the wild capitalism, it is necessary of a true and deep revolution in the ideas, as modest contribution to this battle this work is presented with the objective of systematizing the diverse focuses of the ideology concept and its expression in the context of the philosophical debate of the modern thing and the postmodern thing.
El Sentido de la Vida
Sánchez Hernández,Arturo;
Humanidades M??dicas , 2005,
Abstract: after speaking of the importance so much theoretical as practice of the topic, the author outlines that in the present investigation it doesn't assume the i finish life in his biological expression but i eat "to be in the world" for what defines that with the term "sense of the life" he will refer to the reason of being in the world of concrete individuals. later on it conceptualizes sense of the life from the philosophical and psychological perspectives and he/she speaks of the biological, psychological and social factors that participate in their conformation. it continues defining the encounter with oneself as the fork of biological, psychological and social factors that you/they contribute to the conformation of a sense of the correct life from the ethical-moral point of view, in an individual interested in taking advantage of that fork, that which is not more than the achievement on the part of the individual of an orientation with relationship to him same as being bio-psico-social. the author outlines that all the individuals don't make a sense of the life, some because they don't end up reaching it while others reach it, but they lose it, and he argues that this is due to that so that the sense of the life is formed, the favorable factors that participate in its conformation should converge in an individual interested in taking advantage of that fork. it continues outlining that the will plays its paper in the formation of the sense of the life, but conditioned and determined by multiple factors. continuous exposing the existent relationship between the sense of the life and the category system. but it advances it exposes the existent relationship between the analyzed category and those of "well" and "value". it finishes exposing some characteristics of the sense of the life that should be avoided in the professionals of the health
Copernican Metaphysics
Paul Ennis
continent. , 2011,
Abstract: In the Kritik der reinen Vernunft (1781) Kant introduced the transcendental method on a precarious footing and he never shied away from the fact that the transcendental method is structured, and I mean it in the most direct sense possible, aporetically. The aporetic element, the unstable core within Kantian thought, is the distinction between phenomenal and noumenal content in the chapter entitled "On the ground of the distinction [Unterscheidung] of all objects [Gegenst nde] in general into phenomena and noumena" (Kant A236/B295-A260/B315). This distinction is noteworthy for introducing into the philosophical tradition the notion of the thing-in-itself [Ding-an-sich]. Depending on your interests this is either the most profound or absurd of ideas in our tradition. I prefer to think of it as the most productive notion in our tradition. We can see its generative function at work almost immediately when it spurred the German idealists into thinking obscenely ingenious thoughts, but the phenomenal-noumenal distinction, hereafter the aporetic distinction, remains an ever-persistent aporia for all continental thinking after Kant. In this article I want to focus on how the aporetic distinction functions in its generative capacity with an emphasis on its ontological rather than epistemological register. Considered as such I claim that it is possible to identify in the aporetic distinction a generative capacity (or logic or function) that is intrinsic to both it and all thought responding to it including, or perhaps especially, the speculative responses.
A Plea for Agonism Between Analytic and Continental Philosophy  [PDF]
Robrecht Vanderbeeken
Open Journal of Philosophy (OJPP) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/ojpp.2011.11003
Abstract: Since the rise of analytic philosophy, a virtual Berlin wall seems to be inserted with respect to continental philosophy. If we take into account the difference between both traditions concerning the respective subject-matters, the pivotal goals, the modes of inquiry and scholarship, the semantic idioms, the methodological approaches, the ongoing discussions, the conferences and publications etc., it is hardly an overstatement to say that both traditions evolve insulated and have a conflicting relation. From a meta-philosophical stance, the common and prima facie reply to this split is the encouragement of merging inclinations. I argue for another strategy. Based on a discussion of the intrinsic differences and their importance, I’m inclined to conclude that unification coincides with a loss of authenticity, blurring the critical potential of both traditions. Hence, we are better of endorsing agonistic pluralism between analytic philosophy and contemporary continental philosophy. The plurality of points of view render several opportunities for productive critiques and fruitful cross-overs between both traditions. Alas, the susceptibility for these innovations is vastly counteracted due to a widespread attitude of antipathy, ignorance and occasional vulgarisation.
Electromagnetic Theory: Some Philosophical and Mathematical Problems of the Wave and Helmholtz Equations  [PDF]
Vicente Aboites
Open Journal of Philosophy (OJPP) , 2022, DOI: 10.4236/ojpp.2022.123032
Abstract: In this article some intriguing aspects of electromagnetic theory and its relation to mathematics and reality are discussed, in particular those related to the suppositions needed to obtain the wave equations from Maxwell equations and from there Helmholtz equation. The following questions are discussed. How is that equations obtained with so many irreal or fictitious assumptions may provide a description that is in a high degree verifiable? Must everything that is possible to deduce from a theoretical mathematical model occur in the world? Does everything that takes place in the world have a mathematical description?
LEADERSHIP IN THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH
MASTURA I
Malaysian Family Physician , 2008,
Abstract: Leadership in a huge and complex organisation like the Ministry of Health is important. The importance of leadership lies in the role it plays in defining the character, values and direction of an organization; and it’s relation to organizational performance. Leadership is a quality that must be embedded within an organization for the organization to be successful and meet its objectives. Good leaders can be developed through a continuous process of self-study, education, training and experience. This concept of leadership also highlights the importance of seeking people with leadership talent, developing their potential and providing opportunities for them to lead.
Ministering effectively in the context of Pentecostalism in Africa: A reformed missional reflection
T. Derrick Mashau
In die Skriflig , 2013, DOI: 10.4102/ids.v47i1.84
Abstract: Pentecostalism is a global phenomenon with a large following in North America, Latin America, Asia, Africa and other parts of the world. The rise, growth and influence of Pentecostalism in Africa are enormous and have, without fear of contradiction, become one of the dominant expressions of Christianity on the continent. A contextual analysis of Christianity in Africa showed that the African soil is more fertile for this movement. Its manifestation ranges from classical Pentecostalism (first wave), to the charismatic movement (second wave) and the charismatic renewal movements (third wave). Its growth in Africa came with a fair number of missiological challenges to evangelical reformed churches, and therefore this article sought to sketch this movement by providing a historical perspective on Pentecostalism, a contextual analysis of Pentecostalism in Africa, issues and challenges in Pentecostalism, and concludes by looking closely at a reformed missional reflection, thereby providing some nuances as to how best one can minister effectively in the context of Pentecostalism. This article called for evangelical reformed churches to exercise the spirit of discernment whilst dealing with the influence of Pentecostalism, but at the same time to learn from this movement the zeal for mission and the role of the Holy Spirit in mission. Reformatoriese missionale nadenke oor effektiewe bediening in the konteks van Afrika Pentekostalisme.
Permanent Diaconate as a Way of Personalising Ministries of the Church and Being the Agitator of Constant Revival in the Church
?A?KO, Ivan
- , 2002,
Abstract: Sa?etak Assuming familiarity with the general problem of the Sacrament of the Holy Order and ministries within the Church, the article concentrates on the special nature of the approach of Christian ministries from the perspective and through the prism of the diaconate, not as a transitory ministry but rather as the figure of that transition, pointing out - without conditioning - the specificity of the relationship with the bishop. Brief liaisons with the past and Liturgical sources, listing the theology of prayer pertaining to ordaination according to Traditio aposiolica and the Sacramantarium Veronenese, enables us to perceive the cultural-theological guidelines of development that led to the current approach, once again most commonly seen in the prayer of ordaination. The starting point of euchological heritage presents the question of relations between ministerial functions and relations between the deacon and bishop. Keeping in mind the vocabulary of tradition, the second part of the article firstly presents and etymological analysis of the adjective, permanent (in reference to diaconate) and considers it inappropriate. By analysing the current rite the author arrives at the theoretical-practical aspects of defining the identity and ministry of the deacon, attempting to observe him in the context of personalising Church ministries. In this way the author opens the path towards co-ordinating his activities with priests and avoiding the danger of clericalising the laity
