-- ENGLISH:In 1969 Georg N. H. GEORG (SV. JURAJ) UND SENJ
BOGOVI?, MILE
- , 1992,

Conflict or Concert? Extending the Simmelian Triad to Account for Positive Third Party Presence in Face-to-Face Interviews with People Living with Parkinson’s Disease
Jacqueline Low
Societies , 2012, DOI: 10.3390/soc2030210
Abstract: A number of sociologists and other researchers have focused on the role of third parties since Simmel’s seminal conceptualization of the social organization of the triad. However, less attention has been given to third party presence in qualitative interviews, despite the fact that third party participation in interviews with people with chronic illness and/or disability occurs frequently. Here too it is assumed that third party presence promotes conflict, ignoring the role of third parties as facilitators who enable informants to articulate their perspectives. Therefore, I focus on Simmel’s concept of the triad, concluding that the role of facilitator must be added to the types he describes.
Machado, Rosi Marques;
Sociedade e Estado , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-69922008000300008
Abstract: in this article, i analyze the building process of the professional actor idea from its origin to the predominant speech of those who currently dedicate themselves to this activity. based on the specialized literature on acting and in the light of georg simmel's reflections, i will present four ideal types of actor to demonstrate the changes in the notion of the actor and in its corresponding acting patterns in order to keep up with the validation of the individual along the modern period. the four ideal actor types are: the "declaimer-illustrator-actor ", the "rational-producer-actor ", the "great actor " and the "psychological-creative-actor ". in the latter type i identify stanislavski's idea of actor - which still marks the current speech of the professional actors to a great extent - and i associate it with simmel's conception of modern individual that would be characterized by its ambiguity.
What is Hermeneutics?
Romualdo E. Abulad
Kritike : an Online Journal of Philosophy , 2007,
Abstract: Hermeneutics is the art of interpretation - we shall not forget that and we will return to it again and again, for that is what hermeneutics is - the art of interpretation. We might do well, however, to stare at the word ‘hermeneutics' just by way of a starting point. Hermeneutics - the word goes back to a name, Hermes. Who is Hermes? Among the earliest references to him is made by no less than Plato in the dialogue, Cratylus.1 The dialogue begins rather abruptly, with someone called Hermogenes inviting Socrates to be a party to an argument between him (Hermogenes) and Cratylus. Cratylus is therefore one of the characters in the dialogue, and it is his name that is also given to the dialogue. The other party to it is Hermogenes, a name which literally means ‘son of Hermes'. Socrates suspects that Cratylus is making fun of Hermogenes, saying that the latter is "no true son of Hermes, because (he - Hermogenes - is) always looking after a fortune and never in luck."
An Ethical Approach to the Concept of Toleration: Understanding Tolerance as a Political Virtue  [PDF]
Ivón Cepeda Mayorga
Open Journal of Philosophy (OJPP) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/ojpp.2014.44059
Abstract: The concept of toleration is commonly argued in political discourses and debates, when people refer to diversity and pluralism, as a form of respect and understanding. However, this does not represent an improvement at the moment of dealing with issues where a variety of values, conceptions and beliefs arises. In addition, even though when the idea of toleration was developed during Enlightenment, nowadays it seems to lead to a misconception of the term, following a connotation of a passive indifference about diversity. Due to this, the main objective of this text is to analyze the concept of toleration from an ethical perspective that allows thinking about it in terms of a political virtue needed to face the challenges of diversity inside society. In order to show this, the text presents an analysis of different conceptions of the term, in order to highlight the positive notion of toleration; after that, the text moves on, reviewing the idea of toleration from a hermeneutical perspective, as a form to reinforce the positive characteristics of the term, and path to solve the query between tolerance and intolerance. Finally, as a conclusion, it underlines that understanding the concept of toleration from an ethical perspective implies a praxis develop in daily circumstances.
Razvoj polimerijske tehnike u svjetlu 80. ro endana pionira toga podru ja – prof. Georga Mengesa / Progress of polymeric technology in the light of the eightieth birthday of Professor Georg Menges – pioneer in the field

Polimeri , 2004,
Abstract: U povodu 80. obljetnice ro enja svjetski poznatoga stru njaka na podru ju polimerijske tehnike, prof. dr. sc. / Reminding the readers of the eightieth birthday of the world’s leading expert in polymeric technology, Professor Georg Menges, the present author describes his activity and influence on the development of education and research in this field since 1965, when he started to work as a university lecturer and director of the Institute for Polymer Processing (Institut für Kunststoffverarbeitung, IKV) in Aachen. At the beginning of his career the use of plastic and rubber products began to expand dramatically. The expansion was primarily caused by improvements in plastic processing procedures, based on our knowledge of the design of polymeric products. His concept, uniting the construction, material technology and production, proved successful and became the basis of university education and research in the field of polymeric technology, not only in Federal Republic of Germany. Professor Menges’ dictum research for praxis was widely adopted by specialists in the field throughout the world.
