Abstract: En este manuscrito se consignan los aspectos históricos que llevaron a la creación y consolidación del Departamento de Biología, Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Sede Bogotá. Se recogen datos sobre aspectos relacionados con su labor en docencia, investigación, extensión, gestión y se hace una síntesis sobre algunos de los personajes más destacados del Departamento. Those aspects related with the creation and development of the Departamento de Biología, Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Sede Bogotá, are presented here. Data related with areas such as teaching, research, management are discussed and a synthesis of some of the most important members of the Department is included.

Contribución de la Universidad Nacional de Tucumán al conocimiento geológico del Noroeste Argentino. Período 1930 a 1950

Abstract: until 1930, the argentinean northwest was an almost unknown region from the geological point of view. virtually since its foundation, the national university of tucumán created institutions that contributed to the development of knowledge about the earth. from this same year, with the incorporation of the museum of natural history, geological activities begin in the region. later, in 1921, the career in mines' engineering is included in its structure. however, its fate is uncertain. this work continues in 1937 with the creation of the department of regional investigations merged, among others, with the institute of mineralogy and geology.in 1943, as a contribution to the educational needs required by the regional labor perspectives, the mining school is created in jujuy. subsequently, the oil school is opened in vespucio (salta) in 1947 as a contribution to the national oil industry. this experience starts with a small structure that the house of studies will improve and perfect in the following years.the effort that the university was making to develop geology strengthens when the pen, by law of 1946, creates the institute of geology and mining in jujuy. thus the school of mines is merged with the institute de mineralogy and geology of tucumán. through the resolution of the dean descole and the tenacious work of peirano, the recruitment of european specialists in the field is achieved. by their integration to this center of investigation and development, the bases of the careers in geology and geological engineering are built. researches into geology and mining of great part of salta, jujuy, and especially, the area of agua de dionisio in catamarca are done from there.in 1950, geological investigations return to tucumán through the creation of the institute of geognosy. this is projected by phd. peirano.outside the boundaries of this work, we append that, in the year 1951, the province of salta creates the school of natural sciences. finally, the unt transforms it

Abstract: this paper analyzes, from a historical-political point of view, the shaping of university-industry relations in terms of the emergence of a political realm made possible by the emergence and development of a new epistemic regime: the politicized science and technology. the case of study analyzed is the constitution of the center for transfer of research results (cetri litoral) of the universidad nacional del litoral, which is the result of the cooperation with the center for technology transfer (ctt) of the universidad politécnica de valencia. this work uses a conceptual framework to grasp the formation of university-industry ties and the emergence of a political realm which constitute new forms of legitimacy for the university to emerge and are consolidated from the processes of self-understanding built by agents operating in the university governance. we also analyze how it enhances the emergence of a new ethos in the research community that promotes university-industry relations. this work builds its explanatory pondering specific processes occurring within the universidad nacional del litoral, that plot with global processes of transformation of the mode of social existence of science and technology.

Abstract: El Museo de Arte de la Universidad Nacional conserva la Colección Pizano que es un gran conjunto de reproducciones de obras maestras de la escultura universal y de grabados europeos algunos de ellos tomados de las planchas originales de sus autores. Esta colección, la primera y tal vez la única traída al país con criterio museológico, es uno de los frutos del interés del maestro colombiano Roberto Pizano Restrepo (1896-1930), por orientar y dirigir en el país una verdadera política cultural. La parte de la Colección que es objeto del presente catálogo comprende obras que vienen desde el antiguo Egipto hasta las del más importante escultor del siglo XIX, fallecido en 1917: Augusto Rodin.

Abstract: alfred wilhelm stelzner arrives to córdoba at april 6, 1871, to assume its contract of mineralogy profesor in the national academy of sciences in córdoba. stelzner was one of the eight young and distinguished professors that came to be taken charge of to organize and to open the way in the scientific investigation from our territory to proposal of germán burmeister, being designated by the president of the republic, don domingo f. sarmiento, inside a project of modification of the teaching in the "national university of san carlos in córdova." the hired professors should use their time, apart from the educational activity, in carrying out trips for the country to investigate the natural resources of the estados del plata, and the varied wealth of the susceptible underground of use. then they should make know the results of their studies in wider circles, by means of the bulletin and records of the academy. a. stelzner begins with great enthusiasm its activities of basic recognition of a practically unexplored territory for the scientific investigation and in little time they come the light its concepts of "pampinen sierres" and of the "anticordillera", as well as the description of such minerals as: famatinite, beryl, triplite, apatite and other minerals; together with the first geologic profiles and regional maps of the sierra of córdoba and of san luis, as of the north of the república argentina. but scientific director's position that g. burmeister showed, granted him great ingerencia on the activities of its subordinates, what motivated little of arriving hard confrontations with the scientific ones and especially with a. stelzner, when taking direct behavior on the different collections, in the dictation of the classes, in the contralor of the results of the expeditions and the obligation of publishing the results of the studies in the "bulletin and actas of the academy" that were observed and questioned difficultly by this director. this produced a serious ins

Abstract: Este trabajo analiza desde una perspectiva histórico-política la conformación de las relaciones universidad-empresa como la emergencia de un dominio político posibilitado por el surgimiento y desarrollo de un nuevo régimen epistémico: el de ciencia y tecnología politizada. Se analiza como caso de estudio la conformación del Centro de Transferencia de Resultados de Investigación (CETRI Litoral) de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral, que es el resultado de una cooperación con el Centro de Transferencia de Tecnología (CTT) de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. El trabajo pone en funcionamiento un marco conceptual para captar la conformación de los vínculos universidad-empresa como la emergencia de un dominio político en el que se configuran nuevas formas de legitimación para la universidad que emergen y se consolidan a partir de los procesos de autocomprensión que los agentes que operan en el gobierno universitario van construyendo. Se analiza también cómo se refuerza la emergencia de un nuevo ethos en la comunidad de investigadores que impulsa las relaciones universidadempresa. El trabajo arma el aparato explicativo a partir de ponderar procesos específicos que acontecen en el interior de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral que se traman con procesos globales de transformación del modo de existencia social de la ciencia y la tecnología.
