National language security is directly related to the integrity of cultural sovereignty, and is also an important part of the national comprehensive security system in the era of globalization and digitalization. At the same time, language planning has a direct impact on language security, and is the core means to maintain national language security. Using CiteSpace software and core journals of CNKI database from 2003 to 2024 as data sources, this paper makes a visual analysis of 513 literatures, and draws a multi-dimensional knowledge graph of the number and trend of publications, author cooperation network and keyword analysis in the field of national language security over the past 22 years. To analyze the research status, hot spots succession and future trends in this field, and provide basis and reference for future research in this field. The findings are as follows: At present, the domestic language security research is on the rise, and the high-frequency keywords include language security, language planning, etc., but the core research team and cooperation network are few, and the interdisciplinary collaborative research needs to be deepened; The research focuses on the relationship between language security and national security, as well as the core application of language security planning; In future research, according to the development of The Times, attention should be paid to new research fields such as language technology risks, the construction of theoretical systems should be strengthened, the integration of multiple disciplines should be promoted, and the practical path of language security governance should be explored to provide academic support for safeguarding national language security.
