Youth cultural consciousness demonstrates unique subjective agency and collectivity in historical and social practices, reflecting the vitality of cultural inheritance and innovation. However, in the context of rapid digital technology development, youth cultural consciousness faces multiple challenges, including the infiltration of Westernized digital cognition, the constraints of information cocoons on group communication, and the impact of information overload on cultural inclusivity. As the development of Chinese youth in the new era aligns with the historical process of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, addressing these challenges requires advancing digital empowerment to enhance youth’s cultural consciousness in the digital age, utilizing digital cultural and creative means to promote the innovation and development of cultural endeavors, and leveraging digital technology to facilitate cultural exchange and mutual learning while expanding international communication channels.
