An Evaluation on the Osman Necati (1293/1876) in Eski？ehir and His Work Named Tefs？ru'n-Necat

In this study, Professor (a lecturer who is responsible for teaching Islam religion in a mosque or in a Muslim seminary/madrasah.) Osman Necati from Eski？ehir (1293/1876) and the assessments in his study named Tefs？ru’n-Necat is discussed. Tefs？ru’n-Necat is a work which is composed of 427 pages, written in Ottoman Turkish, includes the interpretation of the chapters between Nebe-Nas, the 30th ruler of the Holy Quran. Tefs？ru’n-Necat is a classical work that confirms the traditional knowledge about interpretation (tafsir), which has a sufistic approach standing out alongside the narrative method and which explains the verses in a comprehensible manner. In his commentary on verses, the author has included fiqh, maqam expositions and, at a minimum, language scientific rules. Again he made his work gain a rich style as he interpreted the verses with poetry. In this work Author Osman Necati has benefited as a resource from the works of exegetes such as Mukatil b.Süleyman, Fahreddin er-Raz？, Seigneur Ebüssu？d, and Imam Süy？t？. In this study, the life and works of Osman Necati and his method in his work called Tefs？ru'n-Necat will be introduced, the method that he applied will be explained with examples. Also, his comments about the sufistic terms will be mentioned
