STUDY OF SOME BIOCHEMICAL INDICES IN PATIENTS WITH PERSISTENT CHRONIC HEPATITISAbstract: The scope of the study was to analyze comparatively the main biochemical parameters with major role in the pathology of liver (glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, creatinine, urea, uric acid, total and direct bilirubin) in male and female patients with ages between 31-76 years, from the Botoúani county. Mention is made of the fact that all experimental results have been statistically processes, the obtained values being highly significant (p<0.001), with the exception of the mean values of urea, direct and total bilirubin in the 61-76 years group of age, for female patients, and of glucose (for all categories of age), as well as of the total and direct bilirubin (in the 41-50 and 51-60 years groups of age), for male subjects – seen as insignificant.
