The development and application of extensometer have been for almost 40 years,it always focus on how to improve the precision but ignore its own characteristics.The SS-Y extensometer’s measuring sensitivity,resolution and transfer function are analyzed quantitative input-output test,reckon test of earth tide and step-input response test.The results show the methods are feasible.
