El ingreso en el hogar como proceso de la atención primaria de salud

the home admission is a type of care practiced in cuba and in other countries. in 1996, the public health ministry of cuba considered it a priority strategy of primary health care, for more than 10 years have been developed researches into the health systems in our country where the satisfaction of those admitted and carers was assessed; but also an evaluation of the scientific-technique quality of the process was carried out demonstrating the patients cared in their homes under a daily follow-up of the health staffs, have less complications from superadded infections than those admitted in hospital; besides, the family move, reducing the costs of transportation, a better physician-patient-family-community communication is established, reason by which we were motivated to carried out the present research to expose the goodness of this process and the need to maintain and to improve it in the practice of the physicians of primary health care.
