although many organizations are motivated to improve their software processes, very few know how best to do so. the result of this lack of knowledge is mainly reflected in the failures that often have the improvements efforts. these failures leave stakeholders exhausted, frustrated and more convinced than ever that they must continue doing their work as so far. as consequence the resistance to change in software process improvement increases. this paper analyses the results of the implementation of a project management software process improvement in an organization by using a methodology that allows to use a multi-model environment as reference.
