Programa piloto de interven？？o para pais de crian？as com problemas de obesidade

childhood obesity is considered one of the biggest public health concerns, worldwide and nationally, due to the medium and long term health and psychosocial problems that it causes. however, the portuguese scientific literature that focuses on this issue shows a lack of appropriate programs to deal with the problem. in order to address this gap, the goal of this study is to create an intervention program for parents of children with obesity problems. therefore, by improving parent？s awareness and involvement in the process of educating their children to health, this work intends to contribute for the enhancement of children′s quality of life and well-being as well as to promote their full and harmonious development.
