Abstract:

scholars engaged in the study of school psychology have criticized the psychologists' clinical model in the formation and performance, for complicating the scholar functioning comprehension, suggesting a practice guided by the historical critical theory. the aim of this research was to know the formation and performance of the psychologists of public education in rond?nia. a quantitative and qualitative research among 38 psychologists was developed using as data collect instruments, questionnaire, documentary analysis and field diary. the data show that the insertion of psychologists in schools is recent in rond?nia. most were students of the federal university of rond?nia (unir), which up to 2005, applied a clinical approach in school psychology's subjects, what may have contributed for the clinical performance in schools. it's a concerning data the non- attendance to continued formation courses, what contributes for a practice that disregards the school routine complexity and social relations built there.
