La comunalidad como base para la construcción de resiliencia social ante la crisis civilizatoriaDOI: 10.4067/S0718-65682012000300009 Keywords: community ethos, resilience, economic rationality, crisis. Abstract: the trail of the crisis of western civilizatory project hasexacerbated social inequalities and altered homeostatic processes of the biosphere.the subtle or violent dispossession of territories with high potential of naturalresources is another trickery of the neoliberal model to palliate its structural crisis;as happens against indigenous peoples. these actions are highly disruptive of thedynamics of social organization, and the worsening of environmental injustice.however, various social groups are reshaping their strategies not only to resist, butto build alternatives. the community ethos (comunalidad), -as an element of thepeoples own cultural ancestry of mesoamerican culture- is a critical interculturalstrategy for these tasks. the notion of social resilience is used as an analytical toolin such exploration. it is noted that the degree of resilience of communities isrelated to the construction of autonomous processes.
