Infección por el virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana y seminoma

purpose: testicular germ cell tumors occur at increased frequency in men with human immunodeficiency virus (hiv). we make a bibliographical review of this entity. material and methods: a 30 year old man with simultaneous diagnosis of hiv infection and testicular seminoma is presented. conclusion: testicular seminoma occurs significantly more frequently in hiv-positive men than in control population. the treatment of these patients is similar to that employed in the hiv- negative population.
