La imposibilidad del multiculturalismo en una nación multicultural

in this essay offers some ideas to the debate about the imposition of a national law in mexico that does not consider the particular categories of indigenous communities. we reflect on whether the existence of a legal system with mono-ethnic homogenizing trend and approach is compatible with multiculturalism. the intention is to show how the creation of a discursive field that makes visible the indians did not always translate into a legal system that enables its ontological existence. it also tries to show the process of construction of otherness that the double function as a source of national identity and indigenous culturalization visibility purposes explaining taxonomic diversity, but also used.
