Os exílios da linhagem dos Pacheco e sua rela？？o com a natureza de suas vincula？？es aos Castro (segunda metade do século XIV)

in this essay we intend to discern the motivations in the movements of the pachecos' lineage envoys between the kingdoms of portugal and castile during the second half of the 14th century. through the analysis of the pachecos' pretensions, even during their several exiles, we find an interesting connection between them and the castros' lineage in portugal. we carry out a demonstrative analysis of the nature of medieval political relations, based on the verification that the castros' pretensions were maintained as a remote cause, supported by the trastámaras' interests and by the discontent portuguese in exile. the iberian medieval political society would use these pretensions on its own benefit, but always trying to leave the impression that they were in the defense of the infantes' well-being. this cause became a core of resistance to the portuguese monarchy interests in castile.
