Adicciones, drogodependencias y "problema de la droga" en Espa？a: la construcción de un problema social

this paper analyzes the construction of a social problem as part of an attempt to consolidate hegemonic discourses in a time of political change. the "drug problem" in spain is analyzed, taking as the time frame the transition from franco regime to democracy and focusing on its constitutive paradigm: heroin use. three basic parameters are examined: the political and sociocultural context; drug consumption in general; and efforts at social intervention.
