Gran propiedad y grandes propietarios en Jujuy a mediados del siglo XIX

this paper is aimed at identifying large holdings and large owners in the province of jujuy by 1850. its main source is the 1855 land survey taken by the provincial government to collect tax on real estate. in a largely agrarian society like mid-nineteenth century jujuy identifying large real estate owners allows us to depict the economic elite of the province.
