the aim of this article is to enhance the understanding of the relationship between presenteeism and positive organizational behaviour. according to this, we intend to evaluate the link between two dimensions of presenteeism (completing work and avoided distraction) and one dimension of positive psychological capital (hope). the sample consisted of 158 workers mainly of health and research fields. results show that the presenteeism factor of avoided distraction is associated with the lower hope cluster. we suggest new trends concerning the implementation of presenteeism reduction programmes, in order to increase positive organizational behaviour. this study also revealed the good psychometric properties of the stanford presenteeism scale (sps-6). being a first approach, we propose new ideas concerning the development of those new fields of study.
