RELACIONES INTERéTNICAS EN ASENTAMIENTOS DEL SIGLO XVI DE LA PRECORDILLERA LACUSTRE, IX Y X REGIONES: ANáLISIS CERáMICO

the results of ceramic analysis from 12 archaeological sites related to the early historical period(xvi century) are exposed. these sites are located near the andean mountains in ninth and tenth regions, provinces of cautín and valdivia, chile (ix & xth region of chile). the ceramic analysis was oriented to identify, describe and classify the indigenous and european pottery traditions, in order to understand the process of cultural contact between the mapuche local populations and spaniards. finally, the interpretation of the archaeological data is supplemented by historical records for the early contact period
