n,n？-bis-3,5-ditertbutylsalicylamides were obtained from n-3,5-di-tert-butylsalicyloyl-oxysuccinimide and different diamines. yields ranged between 30 and 50% and the reaction takes place at room temperature. the products are easily purified by crystallization rendering the procedure useful despite of the modest yields.
