Poner la conservación al servicio de la producción campesina, reto para la construcción de un nuevo paradigma de desarrollo

our current practice of development and production is based in the domination of commercial relations, without considering the cultural value or wealth of our natural environment. its failure becomes more and more evident, affecting peasants in developing countries. the following article attempts to illustrate this as well as understanding current politics with respect to environmental conservation, and, from these reflexions, formulate the basis for a development that aims to reconcile the human being with his natural environment and his contempories. the analysis was put into practice with a study made in the rural community of santiago quiotepec, located in the biosphere reserve of tehuacan-cuicatlan, in the states of puebla and oaxaca.
