Abstract:

the red gum lerp psyllid (glycaspis brimblecombei, hemiptera, psyllidae) is an insect that causes damages to plants of the genus eucalyptus, and is hence considered a pest. originally from australia, this species was introduced into the united states, mexico, brazil and chile, where it causes severe damages in eucalyptus plantations. it has also been detected in the province of entre ríos, argentina, and has recently been cited in experimental plots of e. camaldulensis in the province of santiago del estero.
