Experiencias en el diagnostico del aislamiento de los generadores de potencia

the insulation of power generators (turbogenerator and hydrogenerators) is the component that influences more in its operational reliability, thus is vital to know its state to apply corrective actions. in order to reach such aim, multiple tests, sensorial controls and criteria regarding inspection have been developed, many of conceived them for more than half century and that still subsists in modernized variants, whereas others, more modern, have been generalized and perfected constantly. the techniques and methods for the application of the tests, controls and inspection also have evolved. this work reviews some experiences in the application of recent improvements to insulation tests about the evaluation of contamination, detection problems in the anticorona slot protection, internal partial discharges and the evaluation of the aging, that are applied in the areas of influence of the authors.
