Alfabetización en salud en medicina general integral. Perspectivas en Santiago de Cuba

a literature survey on health literacy was made, where vulnerable groups most likely to have limited skills in this regard are mentioned, as well as the relationship with health promotion, health outcomes, reduced economic costs and benefits of its application. it is also highlighted its significance in comprehensive general medicine and the possibility of the strengthening, especially after the creation of the group for the health promotion development in this specialty. some strategies are suggested for its implementation in the province.
