Instrucción educativa sobre hipertensión arterial en el Policlínico Universitario Municipal de Santiago de Cuba

an educational intervention was conducted in 74 patients with hypertension, belonging to the municipal university polyclinic of santiago de cuba, from january 2008 to january 2009, in order to increase their knowledge of the disease, for which 3 stages were designed: diagnosis, intervention and evaluation, and 5 sessions of classes were delivered. the main modifications of the knowledge were in topics related with dietary habits and stress control. with this study the instruction level could be increased in most of the case material.
