Las historias múltiples y la reescritura de la historia como tendencias discursivasKeywords: discursive trend, multiple stories, history rewriting. Abstract: this study attempts to approach the contemporary cultural context in order to analyze the discursive operations in venezuelan narrative of the end of the xx century and beginnings of xxi century. in view of a complex and hypersegmented reality, a different discourse manifests itself. such discourse is represented in literature by means of narrative procedures (narrator treatment, time, space, theme and language), which assume the capacity of organizing as many different realities or universes as possible. multiple stories, as narrative procedure, involves a polyphonic construction of fragmented stories that intertwine and display a narrative microcosm, minimum actions that, once integrated, can shape a macrocosm. with history rewriting a combination of historic documentation and mimetic invention is stated, and so is the relativization of history itself: a game of the borderlines between truth and fiction. the works of torres, antillano, and vegas are reviewed.
