Enunciados declarativos y pragmagramáticaKeywords: morphosyntax, verbal politeness, declarative statements, pragmagrammar. Abstract: for some specialists, declarative phrases are neutral statements, with no subjectivity, characterized by the fact that they are the less marked type of statement. nevertheless, in these utterances it is possible to identify some argumentative traits that make it possible to establish distinct categories. this would contradict the above statement. this research aimed at ascertaining which those marks would be in the light of the contributions made by pragmagrammar. texts from different communicative events (personal, television and radio interviews, press articles -news, editorials and opinion articles) were examined. in these events 6.552 declarative statements were found. of these, the 10% in each event was chosen at random, following the criterion of proportional allocation quota. also, with the purpose of verifying the representativity of the corpus, the random sample and the fragment tests were applied. it was found out that, depending on the degree of commitment that addressor assumes towards his/her utterance, and consequently on the discursive functioning, there are neutral, polyphonic, categoric and hedged. it was possible to conclude that the use of discursive operators can be accounted for from different perspectives of pragmagrammar, especially form the viewpoint of the theory of verbal politeness.
