this article deals with a scarcely investigated issue in the social sciences, namely, the relationship between economic resources and power within dual-income couples. more specifically, it analyses financial decision-making procedures put into practice by these couples, which constitute an increasingly frequent a social pattern. dual-income couples are not homogeneous in the way they make decisions, thus the importance of analysing the different decision-making processes of the interviewed couples and the obstacles they face at the moment of reaching negotiated and egalitarian agreements.
