Las maderas en el registro arqueológico porte？o: primera aproximación a las transformaciones dentro y fuera de la estructura social

this paper is a preliminary approach in search of explanations to account for the possible causes of the scarcity of wood in the archaeological record of the city of buenos aires. we proceeded from that observed in some woods from six archaeological sites of san josé de flores. in turn, we took into account the overall context of socio-economic and historical buenos aires. general and specific analysis of the data allowed us to determine that perhaps the poor visibility of timber in the archaeological record of buenos aires was given by the sum and articulation joint of various factors such as geographic distribution of native forests, climatic characteristics typical of the city, the limitation of resources for certain social groups, among others.
