Abstract:

kimura disease is a rare chronic inflammatory disease that presents as a tumor-like swelling in the head and neck region and is often associated with regional cervical lymphadenopathy. cases have been described predominantly in the oriental literature. kimura disease has been confused with angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia, for having common characteristics, but both conditions should be differentiated. in this article, the clinical and histopathological characteristics are revised and the criteria to differentiate the two conditions are presented.
