Abstract:

this article deals with the increasing role advertising has played on the social construction of the environmental debate. though studies on media and environment are generally focused on newspaper and television content, in the past decades advertising has become a main issue for many researchers. the article outlines the importance of consumption as a key concept in modern world and its effects on the field of environmental studies. the discussion that follows analyses some aspects of the growing specialization of environmental issues advertising.
